Giants Vs. Padres (Club Level)
This game was different from the others. For one, I didn't purchase these tickets. My mom had gotten these tickets from someone she worked with, he had bought the tickets for Tuesday July 5th, and Friday the 8th, but at this point could no longer go, so he offered them to her. Of course my parents were leaving on Friday to celebrate their anniversary, but she said she would take the ones for Tuesday. She had asked me if I wanted to go.
Of course I do! Just don't tell my professor.
These tickets though, they were a little different. When we got the tickets we had looked at them to see where our seats would be. They were CL, 220 row G #6 or something like that. The only tickets I had ever had were VR (view reserve) in the 300's section. So it was pretty interesting to see where we were.

Now we had done exactly what we had done last time when we came, we walked some and then went and got food before finding our seats. While we were walking up one ramp to where the food was and the section that we were going to have to go up again, since we were in the 100's where we got food, and I knew that the escalator we took last time was the one that would take us to the 300's. There was a separate escalator for those in club level.
Very fancy.
There were guards or at least people working at the ballpark standing near the escalator checking tickets so that people were taking the right escalator to their seats. I wish we had known that there were vendors up there or, you know a wide variety of things to go and get to eat so that when we were going up our hands weren't filled with food.

We had to do a lot of walking once we got up there. I guess we went up near 202 or something, and had to get all the way to 220. 220, 220, 220... Finally found it, and then again there was someone at the door to help us make sure we were in the right section and to help us find our seats. Very helpful, thank you.
These were pretty nice seats. My mom thought we were going to have the sun shining right on us, but luckily it wasn't really, and there was an overhang, so we were covered. Our seats were right in between third base and home plate, but it was closer to home. It was nice we could even see the next batter warming up (at least for the Giants) before they stepped up to the plate.

We were nice and settled in our seats, so that we could watch the game, some of it had already started while we were getting food, they did the Star Spangled Banner and had someone throw the first pitch. After we ate our dinner and the game had gone through a few innings we got up to go walk around to see what we missed and to go and look for a hat.

For Father's day my mom said that when he and I went to the game she would buy him the hat he wanted, well, we were a little to focused on the game that we didn't get the hat. This time we couldn't forget the hat. So we got up and looked around some. We had seen one stand selling clothes and hats, but just in case we did a little more looking.
We got to the end and couldn't go any further. We had passed a few places selling food, and drinks, but I think that was it with the clothes.

So after finding out what hats they had and asking my dad which one he wanted she finally got it. I think we both thought it strange that my dad wanted a white hat. They had a grey one and a white one and he wanted white. Don't ask me why, I know we were both thinking he's going to get it dirty, she thought for sure he was going to want the grey one. Good thing we asked. There was a shirt I wanted, but I guess by the time we got to them they had sold most of them. Oh well, next time I guess.
We went back out and apparently had missed a few things. When we went inside the Giants were winning and they were doing good for a while, but I guess we just missed something because suddenly they weren't anymore.

It was the first time I had been to AT&T park for a game at night, so it was interesting to see them using the lights and see how different the stadium was.
At some point in the middle of an inning they were shooting off fireworks near or above the water. I guess because the day before was the Forth of July and they had a firework show, maybe they had a few extras so they used them up.

It wasn't the best game for the Giants, they had lost 5-3 although in the bottom of the ninth inning, they looked like they could have made it to a tie or something, because they did put someone in the bullpen hoping that they would score and have to go into an extra inning.

Before the game ended something interesting happened. Or I'd say pretty exciting. During the game my mom was saying that I was focusing to much on taking pictures that one of the foul balls the batters were hitting was going to knock my camera out of my hand and break it. Well, my camera didn't break, but I did get a foul ball.

So we turned around and went back. While my mom was looking for hats, I went to look back at all the things we had passed. There was so much stuff you couldn't believe, or at least I couldn't. They had a bunch of things displayed we walked passed when we were looking for our seats, I had to go back and look at all of it, longer then just a glance.
There was a lot to see because there were quite a few displays. There were Jerseys and hats that players had worn during games. There were signed balls from each of the past and present players all in cases. There were pins with different Giant logo's on them, there were signed bats and player cards and bases, yes from the games, lots and lots of bases (that I at first thought were seat covers). They had bobble heads of players and some multiple players, there was also a display of all of the promotional give away prizes that they were giving away this year.

Since the Giants had won the World Series last year there was a lot on that as well. They had news articles about their journey to victory and pictures. There was stories on them winning the NL west and talking about the parade they had in San Francisco in celebration. There was just so much there, I was unbelievable.

It came as a shock really. The ball hadn't come directly at me but a little to the left of me, but while the people to the side of me were fighting for it, they had lost grasp of it and it fell on the floor. I looked down saw it and it seemed really like a slow motion to pick it up. The people next to me were the ones fighting for it and yet I was the one that got it, seemed a little strange to me. I was in so much shock I didn't know what to do.
