New Job and lots of food
I started working at a bakery at the end of March. This bakery prides itself on fresh and made daily, it usually sells "day old" pastries for half off, and any day old pastries not sold the closers either take home or throw away.
Day 1: I came home with a pecan sticky bun, 4 Black and white cookies, and an oatmeal wheatgerm cookie.
Day 2: Butter croissant, red velvet mini bunt, cranberry and blueberry cream cheese croissants, a black bottom muffin and breakfast croissants with either ham and cheddar, turkey and swiss or bacon, egg and cheddar.
Day 3: It was a Friday, so not only was there day olds, but there was also any pastry not sold, because the store isn't open on weekends. I came home with a load of stuff.
I end up coming home with all sorts of things, bunt cakes, muffins, a variety of cookies, cinnamon rolls, morning buns, mini pies, croissants, fruit cups and quiche. I've given some to neighbors and other family members, brought some to my second job (where I intern) and had things for my mom to bring to board meetings at work.
I'll admit it is a lot of food, and after a few days if things aren't eaten they get tossed at my house anyway but no need to waste them at work. My co-workers are taking things home as well, but it is hard to believe when I take so much home.
