Humans V. Zombies Day: 1
Probably the scariest day. There is one zombie out there that no one knows about. Anyone could be the zombie since everyone has an orange band. Left the dorms paranoid. You would think you could feel safe today, you'd be wrong.
Walking by anyone with an orange band could be, have to be careful as to anyone you walk by. The fact that my roommate could be the original zombie scares me. We go to zumba or the gym together at least a few days a week (and this was one of those days) what if she gets me once we are out of the safe zone? She could be putting on a front acting as if she is scared, but really has nothing to be scared of.
I'm going to stare down anyone I can. Throw a sock at them if I believe they might come and attack me. The only safe place is inside, but everyone still needs to get to the housing office to check in.
Trying to remember faces from that meeting the other night, who was there? Names of people, where they may or may not live (which phase of the dorms). I know there are other people on my floor playing.
Sure it feels strange having a sock in my pocket and in my backpack, but its my only protection. What else am I supposed to do?
By noon it was rumored that at least 3 people had been turned to zombies.
Now I'm really panicking! I have two more classes to get to, and I have to walk there with my lunch in my hand. Crap! My heart is pounding extremely fast. The fact that my last class I'm pretty sure is the farthest from the dorms is worse.
I'm trying to be strategic. My thoughts are to avoid the big crowds of people where it is more likely that I could get tagged or be blind sided by someone, not see them coming.
It seems to work out for the most part.
Got back to the dorms from class safely, but there is still the gym. Texting my roommate we decided to take the long way since our normal way passes by the cafe where most housing students go for dinner. Don't want to take that risk especially since I saw one enter while we were changing (enjoy the view from my room because of that). Not on the first day! NO, I refuse!
We made it to and from the gym safe, and actually had one of our other roommates as a lookout.
Sneaky yes, completely illegal in the game no.
Day 1: Made it through without getting eaten/turned.
