A Chocolate mess

That's what I would at least call it for now.

We can start with the fact that even though its nice weather, its been super windy which means decently cold.  Its a Tuesday which means there is a 5 hour time where I can do anything I want (including napping).
After my nap I was finishing up homework and having a snack.  On my bed.  Wrapped in a blanket.   Yes, a sweatshirt would have done just as good, but where is the fun in that?

So here is where the story gets interesting.  I get up to put away the crackers I was eating, and behind my I hear a clunk.  I just thought I knocked something small off of my nightstand.  Not exactly.  What had happened was a little more interesting.  It was my little pillow, falling onto and knocking over my mug with hot chocolate in it.  The even worse thing is that the lid wasn't closed.  So instead of a small little oops of knocking something over there was a big mess, and got a little bigger once I realized what had happened.

And you know, it wouldn't have been so bad if I hadn't had a lot of things on my nightstand.  I had a little paperback book that I was only slightly tempted to read, a few Q-tips, pennies, a couple hair ties, an emery board, retainer case, a marble (don't ask me I don't even know), a box of tissue, remotes, a coaster, a glue stick or two, a little picture frame, and goldfish.  Now about 90% of the items listed above got some chocolate on them, but the most damage was the nightstand itself since it all went to the bottom, and even splashed over to the side some.

And this all would have been some fun and games, but I was on the clock and had 10 minutes before I needed to leave for class, so I was a cleaning mad woman.  I guess the good thing was that I didn't have to drive anywhere it was all just a walk away.

And my night stand looks a whole lot cleaner now.  I just have to remember not to do that again.
