Valentines Day
Its not usually something I blog about. Really its not.
I guess this year was a little special though. I was at school this valentines day. It was a Thursday, and like most days I had class which meant I should go to class. Although I only had two classes at an hour a piece it was still a little bit of a bummer.
Now where to start?
I can start with the decorations (minimal as they may be) I put up in my dorm room. My mom gave me a box of decorations, most likely not expecting me to run off with them to school, but I did. And with the power of some tape and push pins made my dorm room a little more festive.
These cupids have seen better days, but did a little better job a decorating then the words did.
The next part made me a little and super happy. My boyfriend drove up Wednesday night and spent most of the day with me on Thursday. Now that is special!
Not to brag, because I really don't mean to, I got this huge puppy along with a card about the same size. I don't know how you can find a card that big, but he managed to get it done.
I also got a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolate. Again, I don't mean to brag at all. I was glad to spend the day with him. He was nice enough to walk me to my classes and was waiting outside when they were done. Since he had been so sweet to drive two hours to spend a day with me, the least I could do was help him enjoy some delicious campus cuisine. Yes it wasn't the best food in the world, my pizza was slightly cold, and the fries he had weren't very tasteful, but in the end we did enjoy our meal and were glad to be in each others company.
After classes were over homework was pushed to the side for a bit, and we watched a few things on Netflix. There was no way he wanted to watch me do homework, or in anyway he could help, so a few episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation and Firefly and we were happy campers.

If he hadn't come to visit, yes I may have been bitter, I may have also not had a huge smile on my face that day or noticed some pretty cool things around school. This year valentines was special to me, and I hope it was for you too.
