A Place of Peace

Recently I have found a place that I have found to be safe, a place that could protect me, and it is just a little spot in my room.

One day on the weekend I think it was, I was bored and wanted to do some scrapbooking. The only place I really wanted to do it was my room, and so I needed to get a table in there, for a flat surface without cat hair. So at the end of my bed right between the bed and the dresser there is a long table. Which is now used for doing Homework, or writing.

The spot I found is safe, well, right in the corner under the table.

About a month ago, I was really in the mood to finish one of my books. I did some reading outside, but the day was ending quickly and getting cold. I had to find some place to read to finish this book.
When I came back inside the TV in the living room was on, which makes it a little difficult to read since my room is so close to the living room. I decided to try and stick it out and finish reading in my room, but try and be farthest away from the noise. I found myself on the other side of that table, partially hiding from my family, and also keeping away from the noise. It seemed to work as long as no one opened the door to my room.

It seemed to work well. I had even got some company from my furry friends. I guess that they had found this place first since they liked to sleep in that corner if I had dirty laundry laying there.

But this place works for me, I feel protected. I feel safe, and it is like my little get away if I can't get away myself. Sometimes I guess you just have to look in the right places for the better hiding spots.
