Any Math Questions
Math has always been my strong subject. No matter what type of math, Algebra, Geometry or Calculus.
I didn't think that it would be that easy for College, but I was wrong. I am in an Analytical Trigonometry. I'm not exactly sure what type of math that makes it, but even the first day I felt that it was way to easy. My mom said to wait it out, that it will get harder, that has not happened yet. We had a test a few weeks ago, and though most people got a good grade, I am almost sure that I was the only one that got 100% on the test. When I got the test back, I just laughed. My only thought: 'I'm going to be just like my sister, I suck!' Haha!
My Professor is nice enough to leave time at the end of most class sessions to ask if we have any questions about the Homework assigned. Sometimes I feel that the questions are easy enough that I could answer them for her. I remember one person asked about a true false question. The first thing I thought was: 'Really? you have a 50% chance of getting the answer right, and you plan to waste time on something that takes two seconds to write!'
The Problem was:
True or False
Sin45(squared)+cos45(squared)=1
I knew right away that the answer was True. She had explained Trig Identities the day before and one of them was: Sinx(squared)+Cosx(Squared)= 1. I guess this student did not think that the 'x' stood for any angle.
Then today, I was in the Math Resource Center working on one of the Worksheets for that class, and another classmate comes in and needed a little help. I guess that he was not paying much attention in class, because he needed a lot of help, asking me how I got this or that, and I when I saw the notes he took, they were pretty bad. They had the basic information, but that was about it. I felt bad, so I had to help him out. Of course I tried to explain everything to him so that he would remember how to do it. I'm not sure how much he took in.
He said he would give me a pear for helping him out. I thought he was kidding, but when we got to class he took out a Ziploc bag that had a Pear inside. I told him he really didn't have to give it to me but he gave it to me anyway. Strange, but interesting.
