The Final Day
Today was our final Day or final full day in Hawaii and we drove around and saw so many different things. We headed toward Hana. It was pretty early but everyone was ready at 8 am.
But it was amazing! There was a bunch of waterfalls and so many other things to see. We did a lot of walking to and from the car because there was not a lot of places to park, but in the end it was worth it. We even got up close to a few of those waterfalls.
One of our last stops was Black Rock. It was a beach and a camp site, and a rocky area with a blow hole or two. We went into a little cave and then Joliene saw a spot to climb and went for it. She climbed to the top and from the outside we saw her at the top. While we were waiting my mom and I got in the water a little. There was great waves and it was great to stand in. I wasn't fully prepared to go swimming in the water though I wanted to.
There was a stand that was selling Sweet corn, my mom had been looking for it and she finally found it! They were also selling fish and pork tacos, jumbo hot dogs, and bread fruit. If you have read Joliene's Blog then you know what bread fruit is and that she loves it! While my mom was eating her sweet corn, and Joliene was eating breadfruit, my dad, Tanya and I ate some fish tacos. They were pretty good. At a different stand they were also selling coconut candy, coconut pieces, and dried pineapple. My mom bought a bag of candy and two of the pineapple. The pineapple was very good, and I do mean good, and so was the candy, but I think my dad ate most of it.
It was a great drive today, seeing the beautiful waterfalls and everything else.
Tonight we went out to eat, my mom and dad ate with their friends and Joliene, Tanya and I ate at Cool Cats Cafe. It was a good eat and we even got to see some of the Olympics. After we ate we walked to Maui To Go, an art place Tanya had seen something she wanted but didn't have her money with her at the time. It was still open when we got there, most of the stores were closed after we ate besides a few. We were glad to shop a little before we ate.
Tomorrow we get up early and head home!
