Because Google...
So I may have mentioned that I went and visited Google last summer, because well my brother-in-law is kind of awesome and works there. And while everyone was visiting and looking, I didn't end up buying any kind of souvenir and ever since I've kind of regretted it, especially that cookie monster shirt that I kind of loved (but it wasn't in my size).
So here we are about a year later and I just stumble upon a little trip to google that no one knows about, okay so the people I was meeting at google did, but no one else knew. Now that I think about it, that might not have been the smartest thing to do, but google seemed safe enough. I mean I had a couple phone calls, and a few emails telling me what to do where to go, and all that good stuff. Don't think google would lie to me when asking me to come.
So I went, was involved in a study, or something of that sort where they wanted my opinion, left and was given a $100 perks gift card, which could have gone to a few different places, itunes, cheesecake factory, regular old visa and a few other places, but I went for the google merch store.
Finally wanted me some google stuff, just had to figure out what I wanted, which was somewhat a little difficult since buying clothes online is a bit different then in store, since I couldn't try things on and some of the sizing labels were a little strange.
But I did figure it out, got myself a few things, and have 90 days to return/exchange anything I don't like or that doesn't fit.
I don't know what it was, but this hat looked pretty awesome online, I mean I just liked the design, original and interesting. Although I wore it the first time a couple days ago and it kind of gave me a head ache, a bit to tight around my head (guess my head is bigger then I thought) maybe I need to wear it a bit more.
I also got me this pretty nice sweatshirt. I wanted something simple, with the google logo, and while this sweatshirt was a bit pricey I went for it just because it was nice and something that I was looking for. I did get a t-shirt as well, New York city lights design.
The three items were a bit over the $100 merch gift card I had, but I'd say it was worth it in the end. Pretty cool stuff, for a 1 hour individual study, or what ever you want to call it, and now I have some actual proof I was at google (besides the pictures).
