That one time I visited Google...

You might think I'm lying, but I did.  There was this wedding, no big deal, well it was a big deal but since it wasn't my wedding, blogging about it might be wrong on my part.  Instead I'll talk about the day after the wedding, when I went to Google and got a cool tour and some free food.  Yes I said free!

It all started with a drive down to Mountain View, or the place where Google is centered.  Of course the first thing that needs to happen when you get to Google, besides maybe finding a place to park is to get an ID badge/guest pass.  I'm not sure what to call it, but apparently anyone who doesn't have one is most likely a suspicious person, and could probably get in a lot of trouble.  It was bad because I had almost lost mine, in the first 10 minutes, I guess it wasn't clipped on as much as I thought.

Anyway, lets try and go on visiting google was pretty amazing.  I mean I had heard stories about what it was like, possibly seen pictures, but going there was somewhat a different experience.  I mean for one, it is huge.  Its called the Google campus, and after being there I can almost see why, its probably as big as a college campus, going for blocks each way, different roads in, different things to see.   But lets go with a. Its true Google has a slide, the sad part is, that only Google employees can use them, or at least this specific one. Whatevs.

Walking around Google we learned some pretty interesting things, like they shot the movie The Internship at Google, but only the outside, the inside shots were done in Atlanta.  Google has volleyball courts, swimming pools, free laundry (although we didn't see that), and also a dinosaur skeleton with roughly 42 flamingos attached I didn't count them so I'm not sure myself.
My sister thought this was fascinating. It is a conference bike, with about 8 different seats on it for people to have, well conferences on while they are traveling to different buildings or doing what ever.  Apparently there is just one person steering, and the rest just petal along to help out and chat, and do what ever.  We wanted to try this out, I mean who wouldn't, but it was locked in place so we could have hopped on, but we wouldn't have been able to move really.

The awesome thing, or pretty cool thing were the big Android Operating system update dessert things.  Sorry, I don't use an android so these update, name things aren't in my memory, I just know that with every update they come out with a new dessert, in alphabetical order and they are all over this one specific area.  Obviously this is a donut, but there have been other updates since, there was jelly beans (that were HUGE), gingerbread cookie, and I believe their latest update was Kitkat, which is the first one they have a name brand on.
Thank you for the tour, it was a good experience and a lot of fun to look around.
