The Life Cycle of a plant

So did I ever tell you how I got this little guy?  It was one of the prizes I won at my cousin's baby shower. And during brunch everyone at the table I was at seemed to be talking about the plants on the table.  Of course all these ladies said they couldn't keep a plant alive to save themselves.  Some times it was over watering, some times under watering, and in my family it could be that the cat ate it along the way.  My input was nothing.  I hadn't really tried to make a plant grow  thought about gardening or planting.  I was still young, and didn't really have anywhere to put a plant.
When I got it everyone said (or maybe it was just Joliene) that it was a good thing that the people who said they killed plants weren't the ones to get them. And you know, I thought I was going to be different.  I was going to make this plant live.

October 3rd:  Open package, follow directions.  Make a plant:
October 16th:  Leaves are sprouting, I am creating life!:

There was a mid point.  There were a few more leaves, they were growing taller.  I was going to have myself some flowers.  (Not picture)

December 4:  Come check on plant.  See if he needs water.  Plant is shriveled and dead:
Guess I'm a plant killer too.  Oops.

Dude, I even killed that little cactus-y one that we all got in the teacups. People always say if you can keep a plant alive, then you can get a pet and if you can keep the pet alive, you can have a child. I can't keep plants alive at all, but my cats are okay. I dunno, I guess I will never have a garden unless it's something Caleb wants to tackle.

Its okay, mom killed the little cactus-y thing too. But she can keep other plants alive. I'm sure at some point it will be a breeze to keep plants alive. And I think if you can keep your cats alive you really shouldn't worry about having a child. You just skipped a step, that's all.
