We Wades, we need our sleep I guess. I know I wasn't the first up because when I just peered upstairs Corrinne and Joi were gone and at Church, but then again, they had also left early the night before so that they could get a good night sleep. The other thing was when I came back downstairs I heard mom and dad talking in the bedroom, so they might have heard me. But since I was really the first of us to get up, I decided to go back to sleep. Yes, that sounds strange, but oh well.
Of course I think Ceaser was a little lonely since Joi and Corrinne were in his room and kind of had the door closed over, so at least the first night we were there he found a nice place to sleep with Joliene. Yeah, thats good, and she knows how to give good attention to cats, especially since he deserved it. Both had lost someone they had loved and could use the company. Seemed like they were good enough bed partners. So in all I guess it worked out well.
So after falling asleep and then waking back up again, I still think of me and my sisters I was the first one awake. Then again, I know Joliene fell asleep after I did because she was watching TV or talking to her boyfriend, or something and I think Tanya may have been chatting away on the phone. So I may have been the first up because I was the first asleep, it's that or they just needed more sleep then I do.
Got up and kind of got moving. Figured might as well, I didn't want to fall back asleep a second time and this time I heard mom and dad upstairs, so I was good. Went upstairs to see what they were up to. Making coffee talking, and a few other things they were chatting about. What was for breakfast was the question on my mind. Choices, choices. So many choices. Well, sort of...there were different cereals filled with sugar or gluten free and then there was the choice of making eggs or having toast. I think this time I was just going to go for cereal. First day, why not make it simple.
Dad had said that the little tabby that had snuck in the garage the day before had gotten himself out at night, because when he went upstairs to look outside he said the kitten was asleep under their car. When I went to look he was gone by then. Although he also said that some little boys down the street were playing with it, thinking that it may have been theirs. Nope, not theirs.
Soon enough Joliene and Tanya did get up. Eventually that is...
Not sure if that was before or after Joi and Corrinne had returned.
I don't think they had yet, which I guess was lucky for them since most of us were still in our PJ's. We Wades we're also lazy on Sundays.
I guess it was after Joi and Corrinne had returned that mom and dad went back out. They picked up things for yesterdays dinner, but also had to go to Costco, lucky for them it is one of the stores that is open on Sundays, with altered hours though. I think they were looking for Salmon. They were again doing dinner again this night, Salmon another thing of Wasabi Mashed and more. I guess the Wasabi mashed went over well last time that everyone wanted more.
Well, while mom and dad were out, I went to the computer just to check in and to see if my teachers had emailed me anything important. While I was there I guess Joliene had heard the kitten at the garage door, opened it up and yes there he was. I don't know all of what had happened before I got there, but I knew something was different based on what I was hearing. Came over and yes in deed, there was the kitten sitting in Joliene's arms, getting the attention.

But what about Ceaser? Well, he was fast asleep on the chair next to her. It's okay Ceaser, we still love you. Although dad had asked me to brush Ceaser, and maybe I was doing it to hard or it was strange the way I was doing it because he didn't seem to like it much. Sorry Ceaser, but it seemed like you had a lot of dandrif, and since you have way long hair, you do need brushing a lot more regularly. Sorry if I disturbed your nice sleep.
Of course when mom and dad got home, dad just gave her that look like, what are you doing. But really, what can you do? This poor little kitten can't find his home and wants to be warm and get some attention. Sorry dad, but can you really blame her? And really dad, you are the one that made us the animal lovers we are.
We did eventually put him outside, because he seemed to want down, and we really shouldn't have put him down since it is Ceaser's house, and because the dog was out as well. That many animals that aren't use to each other and something bad is going to happen. Well, that and we didn't want the kitten to hide behind something small where we couldn't reach him. Sorry kitten, out you go.
I had learned something that day. That apparently the Allerton's dog is just like our cat Harley. Loves to eat bread. And it seems that the dog is about as bad too, although their dog will do tricks for the bread, Harley will just climb all over you to try and a piece of bread. Cleo will say her prayers for bread or mind her manners or dance. That is one well trained dog, or at least trained enough to know what she has to do for people food.

After finishing up on some of that. Eating, feeding the dog and watching her do tricks, and cleaning up, there was more that needed to be done. Well, a lot more that needed to be done. Like oh, cleaning out some of Gram's cabinets. The big focus was the one that was full with just about everything. Okay, so it wasn't everything, it was just a whole bunch of a lot of different things. There was a little bit of snacks like chips and stuff, was her utensils for cooking, there was a lot of different gluten free items, some were safe, others were not. There were her containers of flour and sugar and stuff like that, then there was a lot of dishes for cooking and a few decorations like that.

We were joking around, but after emptying one shelf it could have been a little place for Corrinne or someone small to fit into and sleep, then again, after taking out another shelf it looked a lot more comfortable and a little more spacious. If we didn't have to put some of the stuff back
I might have even gotten in just for a laugh.
Well, while some were cleaning out the cabinet, I was finishing the word search Corrinne had gotten in church. It had been so long, I was having a lot of fun. :) Sorry Corrinne if you wanted to do it or finish it, but I kind of got caught in it and so I couldn't stop.
After cleaning out the cabinet and then putting most of the stuff back, well the stuff that wasn't give away and wasn't trash we need to do something. Someone mentioned that downstairs Gram had a cabinet full of games, so Corrinne and I headed down there to see what kind of games there were and what could we play.
Oh did I mention that while some were upstairs cleaning dad was downstairs, watching Nascar. Well, sort of I had gone down during that time and he was asleep, or at least looked as though he was. By the time Corrinne and I went down to see the games I guess he was awake again. Opened the cabinet and skimmed the games, triominoes, pictionary, clue, some card games, and a basket full of decks of cards and other things like that. Corrinne wanted to play Clue, okay!!
I guess you could say things could have gone a little better on my half. Besides not remembering fully how to do the whole thing the first round may have been ify. It was Joliene, Corrinne and I. Joliene was the first one out, she made a wrong guess, and I think we weren't sure about the whole accusation and suggestion part of the game, then again, I don't think Joliene was thinking when she made her guess because she guessed one of the cards that was in her had. What? yeah, that didn't make sense to me either. Then for some how when I had made a suggestion no one had the cards, I had one of them, but apparently after I looked Joliene was like "hey, wait I have that card" I was like thanks, that helps me now. Then again the second round was better in my favor. I won!! It seemed that things were turning around, or so I thought.
After two rounds Joliene was out, and decided to walk around the neighborhood to see if the kitten belonged to anyone. And during our second round some of the Shirley's arrived. Gram's house had the scanner and there were pictures we were going to use for the slide show the next day that needed to get onto the flash drive. Adults were in Grams office doing pictures and talking about this and that. Corrinne decided to join Joliene on her search for the owner of our lost cat. So the next round of Clue was Mattea, Tanya and I. I was a little tired of playing, but I guess another round wasn't going to hurt me. Or so I thought.
Mattea seemed to be out pretty quickly. One or two guesses and then she thought she had it. Sorry Mattea, I think you need a little more practice or at least a couple more rounds before you make a guess. Then it was me and Tanya, eventually we were making guesses on this person and that. Something happened right before Tanya made her guess, I had made a suggestion, hoping to find a person I believe. I guessed in the one room card I had, and with one of the weapons I had, makes it obvious to me what I was looking for, but apparently no. No one had the card, okay then that person must be guilty. Or not! Tanya made the guess and there was a different person. Okay, who cheated?
I give up on this game. Not going to play it for a while. Things apparently backfire on me.
Joliene and Corrinne had returned after going around the close blocks asking. They had no luck. No one seemed to know who he belonged to or where he may have come from. One of the neighbors said he had come into her house on Christmas or Christmas Eve, but didn't belong to her. Poor kitty, I really hope you didn't travel to far away from home that you can't get back.
The other thing that was done was search party for kitty items. Today was Ceaser's last full day at Grams before going to his new home with Aunt Drew. So it was a search for toys, treats, tags, food bowls, and well anything else related to or that belonged to Ceaser. We didn't realize how much stuff there was until you put it all together. Oh, wow! Gram he really is a Spoiled Cat.
After some of this and some of that, we went to the Shirley's to hang out some and prep for dinner. I have to say it was some what another bunch of things at once going on. Although we had to make a U-turn after going down about a block realizing that they had forgotten part of what was needed for cooking. Okay, gotta turn around and go get it.
After we were all settled, there was busy work in the kitchen for mom and dad, and there were a few that were peering to see what was going on. hmm. Tirzah had called Mariah up to take pictures of what mom and dad were doing with the salmon. Lemon, and flavoring wrapped in foil going to go on the grill. Yum!
I was getting a little curious and also a little bored. So I went down stairs to see what Mattea and Corrinne were up to. Corrinne was trying to figure out the Wii. Mario cart? I had never played it on Wii, and I was about to learn how. We had done a Vs. trial, and the first round was a little tricky, then again for me it was my first round. How does this work exactly? A little different then the Nintendo 64 version, but I guess I could figure it out. Yeah, after the first course I think I had it. Well, sort of. We did four courses and then thought it would be easier to do battle, although in the last course I finished first. Yeah!
Apparently I was doing better then Tanya was when she first played. Haha! I win! Then we went to battle. Thought it would be a little easier. I agreed with Mattea and Mariah, the battle round coins was a lot better then balloons. Learned of my mistake quickly. Balloons was just confusing, at least the coins there was a little more purpose and I knew what to do, balloons was just chaos.
Then came dinner.
Like I said before, there was the Salmon, the wasabi mashed and then Tirzah made the yummy corn that I loved so much. Mom you should learn how to make it like that! There was also rolls, mom and dad had bought some while they were out and then Tirzah also had some, so we really didn't need to bring that much over. Dessert I believe was ice cream and cake again, this time I was good with just the ice cream, there is I really didn't want to have cake two days in a row, ice cream is a different story.

It's funny though I think this time we got a little more sleep the night before the funeral then we did the day before. At least it didn't feel like there was only five hours of sleep, well, at least not where I was. Can't say the same for the other households. Then again, there was another long day ahead and another one of those lots to do things.
