Utah: Day 5
Sleep. The main word of the day. It was a long day the day before and we all deserved a lot of sleep, since the night before we didn't get much. After everything that happened we all deserved some rest. And I have to say that is pretty much what happened. Sleeping in. Oh, it might have been until noon or around there that everyone had finally waken up. See, sleep was very much needed. There was only a slight problem. I told you that on my snow day dad went and bought a couple things of milk, well the one that went out in the fridge in the garage froze. No I am not kidding. It was that cold. So it was a little hard to have cereal with frozen milk, instead for me it was the leftover pancakes. No milk required.
Gram may have been the first one up, well she or dad, but she was falling asleep on one of the chairs in the kitchen. I don't think she was really there when she was in the kitchen. She did finally take the hint from my dad, "go lay down mom" and that is what she did. It was a very exhausting day for her the day before, physically and emotionally, she needed more rest then most of us.
She of course did wake up later, once the rest of us were finally dressed and hygiene was done. he door bell rang, and it was someone coming to show their condolences. There wasn't much more then that going on. Once the visitors left, we went back to doing the things we needed to do. Mom and dad went out shopping since they were going to be making dinner tonight, Joliene went and did some reading, I did some homework, and Tanya was going to cross stitch. That lasted oh, all of 5 seconds, she went and got it, sat there, then went up and was going to do it with Gram while watching NCIS. I didn't see all of it, but I'm sure that isn't what happened. When I was done typing my essay on my moms laptop I went upstairs to send it on Gram's, and when I looked in Gram's room Tanya was not doing here cross stitch. Oh Tanya.

I was hoping that my essay was going to send, because the day before we left I had email all of my teachers and my English teacher was the only one who did not respond. It was days later and my essay was due the next day, I was just hoping it would upload and send. Computers are enough fun, and when you are using someone elses or one you aren't familiar with it is just wishing and luck.

I think Ceaser may have been a little attention deprived from the day before, because this day he was very playful. Running back and forth, up and down the stairs. When we had gone to the store a few days earlier, we found little mice for Ceaser, he loved them! He was also running around in a few of the rooms including Gramp's office and trying to get me when I was leaving. I have to say, this little kitty has a lot of energy.
Mom and dad came home and everyone was put to work. There was snacks and stuff to be done, and pre made mixes to be put aside. There was spinach dip, to have with tortilla chips, pork wrappers, and cupcakes, that were to be decorated later. It was just a lot.
Dinner was salad, wasabi mashed potatoes with the red sauce to go on top, the shrimp and crab salad mix, meatloaf, and soda can chicken. Told ya, lots of food.
We were expecting everyone maybe a little after 6 or so and then Jenna coming later after work, but she got out early and beat everyone to Grams. Guess what Jenna? You get to help, and she and I started to make the pork wrappers when the time came.
I have to say everyone came hungry. And once we started making the wrappers, they were gone pretty quick. We brought out the dips and they were munching on those, but I do think they liked the wrappers the best, because everyone was asking about them and what each of the sauces for those were.
Dinner went off with a hit. Everyone loved the food that mom and dad made. Yum, yum. This night was very conversational, there was stuff in the kitchen, in the living room, and well I think everywhere. It was a day to kind of cool down a little. Dad had some fun, he got his time to play with Ceaser too. He had been away from our cats and couldn't play with them, he got Ceaser instead.
