Dessert Changes
On Sunday we went out to dinner to celebrate my Birthday. My decision for dinner was The Vans. It was a decision between there and BJ's, both places I was choosing based on dessert. I know it should have been more then the dessert, but I like BJ's Pizooki and The Vans Beehive.
I was glad that I went with The Vans because the table we got, at least from where I was sitting had an amazing view of the bay, and as the night went on you could see all the changes in the sky and I loved it!
Dinner went pretty good. I had the fried prawns with garlic mashed potatoes. Yum!
Then came dessert. They gave us the menu, and I looked closely. There was no beehive. Maybe it's not a regular dessert. I looked at the menu again and decided that if they didn't have the beehive, that I would get the banana wrap. It sounded good, it was banana with walnuts drizzled in chocolate fried in a little wrap. When the server got there we asked about the beehive, apparently it is a seasonal dessert served in December and November. Okay then. Banana wrap it was. Or so I thought.
After they had taken our dessert order someone came back and said that they were out of wraps and some type of cake. That means again, my order was out. Everyone else still had what they ordered. They offered a couple other things, and I wasn't in the mood for it.
They came over with dad's Cheese cake, and Joliene's fresh berries with créme anglasie. There were two guys that came over with the desserts. Each had two dishes in their hands. I was a little surprised that they needed two guys. I thought it was one stop, and then to the next table. But the other two desserts were for us too.

It is a White Chocoalte Banana Creme Pie. Doesn't look like a pie does it. It was pretty good. YUM!
