Stitch Fix June 2018
What is Stitch fix? It is a personal styling service for men and women based on your style. You can receive a package of clothes how ever frequently you wish, and there is a 20 dollar styling fee that gets taken out of what ever you keep. Your package has five items inside, you pay for what you keep, and return what you don't want. I've been doing this for about two years now, and have been happy with what I get, although I usually only keep one or two things each time.
I thought why not blog about this, because most of the time I end up taking pictures or asking others what they may think, so why not share my thoughts with others?
Back in June I was looking for a dress to wear to a wedding I went to recently. So I told them, send me a fix of dresses.
First was the Catarina Smocked Off the Shoulder Dress, which is something I liked. It was bright, colorful and something different then what I would pick up normally. It was nice and flowy and a good choice to wear, but as I started to move it seemed like I would constantly be adjusting the dress to make sure it stayed in the right position. Also, just look at those sleeves I would be so worried trying to make sure they don't get into anything while I was eating.
Next the Juri 2fer Maxi Dress, which I will admit I almost prefer long dresses because I don't like showing my legs. This was one of my top choices to keep, it has a slit on the side which would have worked nice for dancing. There was a cute cut in the back so that it wasn't completely boring (not that the bottom half of the dress is boring). Two things kept me from keeping this, first it looked a very similar to another dress I own and second I was looking for a dress to wear to a wedding, and this dress was to dark in color for a wedding, at least according to my mom.
I will say if none of the things in your fix work out, it is okay to return them all, you would just be out that 20 dollars. When returning you have the opportunity to give feed back, what you liked what you didn't like the size, the style, the price of things. I'd say for the frequency, I do every three months, it is worth the shot and the little splurge since I don't like going in and shopping.

Then there was the Tinley Maxi Dress, which I know I did have a picture of but I must not have saved it. Clearly not having a picture of me in this dress, and the Galina Dress also in the fix means one thing, I did not keep them and they weren't in the running to keep.
First this Tinley dress had a pattern that reminded me of something that my grandma may have owned for fabric or upholstery (sorry grandma). I was also not a fan of the texture of the dress, it just didn't feel right.

This Galina Dress was nice, I did like the cut in the back, but it seemed to be missing something such as a belt. It flowed and I'm sure I could have danced in it, but I just didn't feel quite secure.
Last is the Joliee Crochet Detail Dress, which I'll admit now is the one I kept. It is bright, and I love the floral pattern I can dance and be free, and there are no sleeve issues that I would worry about. It has a cute crochet detail on the front and has a bit more of a form then the last two dresses. As of now, I've already worn it twice so I would say this dress is a good win, and something fun to wear in the spring or summer.
