Devil's Slide Trail
It was nice out, and no rain was yet to come, and well why stay inside on a reasonably nice day when you don't have to. Someone had mentioned this new trail or better parking to my mom so it was one of her suggestions.
The Devil's Slide Coast Trail website looked interesting with the multitude of trails, ocean views and possible sea creatures that could be spotted, I wanted to check it out.
It was a quick drive up the coast to Highway 1, there were a few signs and when the first parking was missed and were stuck going through a tunnel, there were two small parking lots after.
After parking, walked a little south where there was a rock formation and tree house/fort which was a quick walk and nothing to strenuous and we had a nice view.
The trail itself though was behind me going north, and parked at the first parking lot it might have been easier to do the whole trail. The map looked like it was roughly 2 miles, but it might be a little shorter then that.
Our hike/walk was shorter. Estimated about half way, and turned around because I'm sorry I was not ready for a hike up hill. Not in jeans and a t-shirt, not without some water, and not in the shoes I was wearing.
I'm sure the view at the top was to die for, but just not this day.
It was nice, and not too windy, but the top has to wait for another day.
