Final Day Outside Lands 2016

The last and final day of Outside Lands 2016, Sunday August 7th.  It was another one of those where we didn't need to get up early.  Before we left we actually googled a few artists to see who we might want to see.  The list for Sunday originally consisted of Third Eye Blind, Major Lazer, and Lana Del Ray who were all the second half of the day.
So did some more exploring, and did the back wine.  Three holes of mini golf and following each hole was a tasting of a different wine.
They were some pretty difficult holes.  Each had a little land mark of San Francisco. Actually hole one might have been wine themed, up a ramp with grapes coming down the side, and end at a life size bottle of wine.  The move on to hole number 2 (as seen above)  Golden Gate Bridge, lombard street and alcatraz.  Hole number three Mr. Outside Lands himself and the tricky windmill.  Talking to the pourers we found out we weren't the worst of the bunch, but I'm sure getting a hole in one you would have to be a master.

We wandered around, got ourselves some souvenirs, and a couple more free things (yes I like free things) and saw Snakehips at Twin Peaks and then some food.  I got a bagel sandwich with avocado, he got what he describes as an amazing burger from 4505 Meats.  It was labeled the best damn cheeseburger on their menu, and I somewhat regret not having a bite.

So Snakehips, Third Eye Blind, then I believe Kehlani (I'll admit I'm not sure)  I remember being at Twin Peaks and going to Panhandle to see Rufus Du Sol, but I don't remember the artist, and that one makes the most sense.  Rufus Du Sol was good, got up close and we almost left without hearing the song a lot of people were waiting for, I can only assume because of a sign in front of me with the words "Leave it all to bloom".  It would be worth it to try and see them again.
But because we stayed for Rufus, we were a little late to Major Lazer and ended up being a bit in the back.  The nice thing was not being squished by people and actually being able to move and dance instead of just shifting your weight left to right.

And to finish it off, I am sorry to say the somewhat dissapointment.  Maybe Lionel Richie was better, but we saw Lana del Ray who didn't have any real up beat dance move songs.  I mean after ending the night before, and being the end of the event I'd think you would want to end with a bang, and again maybe Lionel Richie was, but Lana I'm sorry you weren't what I was expecting.
Of course I was glad to have seen her, but she was breathy and kind of like she was when she did SNL.
