Science Day 2016
This past Saturday was Science Day here at CSU Stanislaus. It was the first time I got to participate, they sent out an email mid November with a survey to see who wanted to participate, and possibly what department they wanted to volunteer in. The departments involved in Science Day are biology, chemistry, math, nursing, pre-health society, physics, and psychology.
I obviously was working in the chemistry department; there were different shows and activities. My friend Jodi and I were one of the first few faces you saw when you got to the third floor of Naraghi. We were in charge of Dr. Drakes elements that consist of the periodic table. He has been working on this collection for a while, I remember him showing some of them to my general chemistry class when I first started here, they are actually pretty fascinating, although also a bit expensive, which is why his collection has a few holes in them.
