Preview Day!
I believed I mentioned that Preview Day was coming, that I was going to be working the booth again, and that this year, we were going to be wearing some pretty awesome t-shirts!
Our shirts took so long to arrive, that those who were participating actually got two shirts, at slightly different sizes. I was super excited about it, if you didn't already know! I mean come on, these were awesome t-shirts!
I don't think the booths were as long as they were last year when I did it. I believe that last year it was from 8-12 where this year it was only 10:30-12:30. That might have been a good thing because of all the other activities going on. We were just showcasing some things on campus trying to advertise and get people more interested and into reading our blogs more, while there was informational meetings, tours of the campus, and other things going on through out the day.
Anyone who was interested was allowed to come over and hear about student bloggers, take a picture with us or of the booth, and they got some free candy. We were also doing a little give away, that if they gave us their email they were put in a drawing for a t-shirt, a banner or some stickers, and their name would be announced on our blogs a few days later.
Working preview day this year was a lot easier then working last year. I was nervous last year and really unsure of what to say or how to promote the blogs. Now that I had a years worth of experience I was able to explain it, promote it and share what the student bloggers did. I was ready for action!
We were also trying to promote our social network sites, have people follow us and participate in the contest going on during the day. There were 12 photo spots marked on campus for those on campus to take pictures and post online with the hashtag (#2014Warriors). The use of our hashtags were checked and see who used them to their fullest, the winners of that contest were told via our social media sites that they had won and to come collect their prize. They had a choice of warrior tumblers and different warrior t-shirts.

These photo spots were all over campus inside and outside at places where those visiting the campus for Preview Day might go including around Housing, and in the admissions office. This year preview day seemed more involved and was a little more into getting those involved.
