Where to start..

So hey, how did that weekly blogging go?  oh right I wanted to start it last week, but I think along with starting back at work, time just got away from me.  I worked six of the seven past days (not including today) and slept half the day, who knew work could exhaust a person.  Oh right, I'm pretty sure I did.

So I'm going to start this anyway and hope that at least one of the days off I get I come on here and blog.

I figure I can start with school, or how school ended.  I told you at the beginning of the semester how it seemed like one of the hardest semesters because of taking a chemistry class that had a very high fail rate and taking a criminal justice class which required a 7-10 page paper due at the end of the semester.

Well, no matter my doubts, and through all the stress I guess I can say I got through it.

Physical Chemistry:  Again I got through it.  My roommate, one of her friends and I spent almost every monday afternoon studying, doing homework and reviewing for hours.  We even spent times texting each other Tuesdays in between things and discussing our thoughts on the quizzes we took each Wednesday.  If it weren't for them I might not have gotten though it, there were times I admit, that after getting a test back or talking with my roommate that I felt, well there went my passing grade.  I mean I wasn't going to give up completely, but there were times I felt dumb for not studying one thing or not asking one extra question.  When the final came I was in the position that taking the final wasn't going to change my grade, but I still took it, and was slightly glad I did.  It didn't change my grade but it did boost it a couple percentage points.  And I passed, my friends passed, and that is what really mattered.

Scientific Evidence and the Law:  That essay almost killed me.  Okay, I'll admit I should have started it before spring break, but again it had to do with trying to pass the other classes and keep up with other work.  I spent the week before printing articles, reading though them, tossing some aside, and using some for that paper.  I was banging my head against the wall, and up until about midnight the might before working on the paper (making sure everything was cited where it needed to be) and working on the presentation that was for the paper as well. I don't think I slept well that night tossing and turning worrying about the paper, and being a littler nervous about a presentation (because I hate them).  But again I got through it, and got a grade better then I expected.  I'll admit, I tried to calculate my grade for the class while delaying writing the paper as was positive I was getting a C in the class, but when grades came out a few weeks ago, I saw that B and was thrilled.  Okay, maybe that professor wasn't that bad, I mean he was the one that informed me and helped me though the interview for the internship.  I wouldn't mind another class with him.

Criminalistics 2:  This was the easy class, maybe the one I enjoyed the most and some decent fun with different guest speakers and fun lab.  There was also the crime scene lab we had to do in groups, that was a little stressful, did I mention that at the last minute we had to re-do the entire thing because a computer went crazy and erased all of our pictures.  That was probably the only stressful moment in this class, except maybe the final which was I'll admit my easy final of the three, but it had me second guessing some of the things I thought were correct.

One crazy semester down, and hopefully just two more to go before I have my bachelors degree in chemistry and a minor in forensics.
