Its that time again...

Move in day for school was just about a week ago.
Find all my things pack them into cars, and go-go-GO!
A day or so before I was exhausted and the move in day it self was exhausting, just the being up early moving and packing things, and then moving and unpacking after two hours of driving.
It took over a day to get organized, and having my dorm room feel like home.
Although there are just a few things that I forgot, and a few things that can't make it feel like home.
We had activities after moving in and a family dinner.
It was a "PUDDLE"  which I don't know what stands for but it was a fun little meet the RA's and PALS, a fire safety assembly, and then fun activities to get to know other people living in the dorms.
Below is a an RA and PAL having a bad dance dance off.  Which lasted only a couple minutes, but it was very entertaining.
Tuesday was floor competition.
Each floor or group arrived at the dorms with a specific animal on their door, we will represent the animal for the rest of the school year.  My floor was the Army Ant, which apparently is pretty fierce, and a little gross looking too.
The competitions were trivia of events that happened in previous days, a chant for our floor, dodge ball, tug of war, and anemia tag.
Now if you don't know what anemia tag is I don't blame you, I barely know what it was, although it did make sense once it was explained.  Anemia tag is where one person is it and once they tag you, you are stuck holding their hand and chasing people.  So in the end, there aren't many people left, and there are bunches of anemia people running around trying to tag you.  Although the hardest part seemed to be that those that were "it" had to stay holding hands, and on wet grass it is a little difficult not to slip.
Tug of war on the grass also seemed difficult due to the fact that we couldn't keep a good foot grip.
It also seemed that one side of the grass was easier to work on then the other, but there was no way in fighting it once a group actually won on that side.
After all the days activities were done, the Army Ants won 3rd Place!  Not bad I'd say!  I mean first place would have been better, but at least we weren't last.  Not a bad start living in the dorms!
