Lunch and A Movie
So last Friday I went out to have lunch and see a movie with a friend. We hadn't seen each other in a while and needed to catch up. So we had decided a few days earlier we were going to have lunch at BJ's and then go see Letters to Juliet.
Everything was planned out, we were going to meet for lunch around 11:30 and then the movie was going to start 1:50, so that gave us plenty of time to chat and eat.
So we met there and were taken to our table. I think our waiter was a little jumpy because before we even opened our menus he came over and asked us what we wanted. I had been to the resturant a few times, and they do have their menus online, but I had just sitten down and I wasn't really sure what I was going to order. We told him what we wanted to drink, I got a sierra mist (since there was no sprite) and my friend ordered an ice tea, they some how mixed that up and she was given ice water with a lemon.
We had finally made our orders and she was getting a big Bar-B-que ranch salad and I got the California Chicken Sandwhich with skinny fries. We got to talk some more before we were given our lunch. Catching up was fun, talking about what had changed in our lives since we last saw each other. Then our orders came. Hers was nice and big and looked really good. Yum! My order was a little off. My plate was smaller (but I figured it would be) it being only a sandwich and all, but there was only half the sandwhich and the fries. I was a little confused, I thought I had ordered a whole sandwhich, but maybe I was mistaken.
After I had cleared my plate, ate the half of the sandwhich and all of the fries that came with it, her plate still looked pretty full, and strangely enough I wasn't full. We still talked some she ate, and I felt it was a little strange that I wasn't eating with her. Then all of the sudden, the waiter comes up takes my empty plate and replaces it with one that had the other half of my sandwhich. I was a little annoyed and confused. I had ordered a full sandwhich? Then what took it so long to get to me? Next thing you know the manager comes up and appoligizes for my order running late and says that because it was late, the meal was on the house. Strange to me, but okay.
So we finished our meal, though because I had eaten all of the fries by the time I was eating the other half of the sandwhich my stomach was telling me that I was full. She then pulled out Fridays paper, and said that the times had changed for the movie. We were to early or to late for the movie, there was only one time for it and it was 10:30. So no matter what, we missed it. We looked at the clock and tried to figure out what movie we were going to see. We decided to see Get Him to The Greek, and I have to say, it was a bad choice. For me there was to much profanity, and the whole thing is not what I had expected. Bad movie choice for the day.
It was an okay day, nice lunch, but not the best movie.
